Being a week out from Halloween you knew I had to use the word spooky. The next week will be consumer with trick or treating (or trunk or treat), too much candy, and time spent with the kid’s doing activities meant to scare or spook them.

But what is the biggest thing spooking parents? Finances. My goal today is you to realize that if looking at your bank statements or talking about investments scares you, you aren’t alone. It’s time to unpack why we often feel this way. As a woman you probably had very few people in your life talk to you about money growing up. It was either taboo or a waste of time to learn these things. When you got married it was just expected that the man would take care of everything.
Thankfully, the world has changed but that means for us women that we are now playing catchup. The amount of free or easily accessible resources has skyrocketed over the last several years. However, now we have the opposite issue where there’s too much information, we don’t know who to listen to or where to even begin.
But it takes time. Rome wasn’t built in a day and sadly women building wealth also doesn’t happen overnight. It takes conscious effort of facing the spooky world of finances and asking for help from people we trust.
My goal is to create a community where women can feel safe comfortable asking the questions and finding the exact resources, they need to build wealth and live their dream life. The most important thing to remember is that you are not alone on this journey and that you too are capable of building wealth.
