As an avid reader this is one of my favorite posts to write. I love sharing with everyone what I’m reading, and this list is constantly evolving and growing. As we are in the middle of summer, I wanted to share a few fiction and nonfiction reads that I have been loving in case you need a book to bring to the beach or pool.
Nonfiction

Rachel Rodgers debut book is nothing short of perfection. In this empowering read she teaches you how to move away from making Broke Ass Decisions in all different areas of your life. My favorite part of this book is that it is good for a woman at any stage and place of her life. Corporate, entrepreneur, any age, any geographic location. She gives you actionable tools to level up your life and most importantly teaches you why it’s ok to become a millionaire.
The Psychology of Money by Morgan Housel
A genius who loses control of their emotions can be a financial disaster. The opposite is also true.- Morgan Housel, The Psychology of Money
We all have our own emotions and feelings when it comes to money and finances. The beauty of this book is it allows you to understand why you react the way you do to different financial situations in your life. I will give you a little hint and share that it has a lot to do with what was going on in the world while you were growing up. Housel also uses history and great examples to enforce different ways to build lasting wealth.
Fiction
The Last Mrs. Parrish by Liv Constantine
Whenever anyone asks me for a thrilled read this is my go to. This is one of those books that will keep you on the edge of your seat with wild twists and turns especially towards the end. To summarize without giving too much away, this story takes you through the unraveling of the marriage of the Parrish family. But don’t worry, once you get to know the characters involved you will quickly realize this relationship was destined to fall apart. I was so shocked with the way this marriage ended that I had to go back and reread the book to see what details I had missed.
The Lions of Fifth Avenue by Fiona Davis
I have a very short list of books that I have made my fall in love with reading all over again and this is one I come back to every time I need to cleanse my reading pallet. This historical fiction read jumps back and forth between two time periods both set in New York City. Main character Laure Lyons is living inside of the New York Public library but longs to be more than just the library superintendents wife. Through the story you see her evolve and transform into a daring young woman that decades later is inspiring her granddaughter who uncovers more of Laura’s story.
